Sun Teleradiology (formerly SDI Teleradiology) began nearly 20 years ago from a need to support our group’s in-hospital services at two Tampa hospitals.  Like many groups in our situation, we used Teleradiology to streamline our night coverage obligations.  As our information systems expertise grew, we also made a commitment to our hospital to have radiologists on-site around the clock.  This combination gave us the ability to offer night coverage to other radiology groups.  As our service has evolved, we have become a vital part of the after hours emergency team for many hospitals and radiology practices as well as providing daytime subspecialty reading services.
